Cookie policy

How cookies are used on this website.

IN SHORT

This website places no cookies at all: no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no social network cookie. Nor does it use your browser's local storage. There is therefore nothing for you to accept or refuse.

01What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit it. It allows the site to recognise you from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next.

Three families are usually distinguished: cookies strictly necessary for the site to work, analytics cookies that count visits, and advertising or social network cookies that track your browsing across sites. Only the first family is exempt from obtaining consent.

02Cookies placed by this website

CategoryUsed on this siteDetail
Strictly necessaryNoneThe site is static, with no account and no basket
AnalyticsNoneNo Google Analytics, no Matomo, no equivalent
Advertising and targetingNoneNo advertising network is present
Social networksNoneNo embedded sharing button
Browser local storageNoneNeither localStorage nor sessionStorage

This was established by inspecting every page of the site: none calls a tracking script and none writes to browser storage.

03Resources loaded from a third party

A single external resource is called: the typefaces of the Google Fonts service. That service places no cookie, but your browser sends it a request to download the fonts, which discloses your IP address to it.

This is not a tracking mechanism and does not fall within the scope of cookie consent. We mention it for transparency, and the subject is also covered in our privacy policy.

04Why there is no consent banner

A consent banner is required as soon as a site places trackers that are not strictly necessary to its operation. Since this site places none, such a banner would have nothing for you to accept or refuse: it would add friction with no benefit.

Should an analytics tool be installed, a compliant banner would be put in place and this page updated accordingly.

05Managing cookies in your browser

Even though this site places none, you remain in control of the cookies saved by all the sites you visit. Each browser has its own settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking all cookies may prevent some other websites from working properly. On this one, it has no effect.

06If this were to change

Any change — adding analytics, an interactive map or a third-party hosted video — would lead to this table being updated and, where necessary, to prior consent being collected. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
